Bridge the Gap314

Twyla Lee

Side Hustler

I Am A

St. Louis, MO, USA

She doesn’t just bridge gaps—she builds legacies.
As an assistant principal by day, Twyla Lee shapes young minds inside the classroom. But through her side hustle, Bridge the Gap314, she’s healing entire communities. Focused on empowering families impacted by mass incarceration and loss, her organization champions cooperative economics, cultural education, and transformational healing.

In 2024, Twyla led the 5th Annual Dellwood JuneteenthSTL Community Resource Fair & Parade—an event that’s become a pillar of strength in her region. But her work goes far beyond the parade. She’s published two books, Letters of Empowerment for both young men and women, and uses storytelling to restore hope and spark ambition.

Whether she’s mentoring students, partnering with local businesses, or celebrating Black history in motion—Twyla’s message is clear: community is the curriculum, and collaboration is the key.

She’s not waiting on systems to change. She’s educating, organizing, and leading the revolution herself.
